Godythm Game- Postmortem
The most interesting part of putting this game together was definitely the structure of the Conductor class- how to track song position with the engine's capabilities, all that kind of stuff. I'd say the biggest issue I faced during making the game was struggling to pick up working on it again after not touching it over our reading week. Even though the framework was there, and I knew everything I still had to do- a start and end screen, implementing art, etc, it was extremely difficult. I wonder if this was because the task ahead was going to be easy for me and was things I've done before, or if I had just lost interest in the project. Once again I am learning the hard lesson of the cost of procrastination, and what it does to my motivation. The longer I let something sit, the more stressed I get over it and the harder and harder it is to pick it up again.
